Chamara Peiris is a seasoned startup founder and ecosystem builder with over 18 years of experience spanning tech, marketing, product, and startups. Throughout his career, he has held diverse leadership roles as CEO, CTO, and COO, working with startups and scale-ups across multiple international markets. Currently, he leads the startup ecosystem at Launchpad Isle of Man, where he works closely with early-stage founders on growth, funding, and scaling strategies. Chamara is also the founder and CEO of Leeg, a digital games platform focused on real-time tournaments and user rewards.
With a career built on leadership and innovation, Chamara currently serves as the Head of Startup Ecosystem at Launchpad Isle of Man (2025 – Present), where he leads ecosystem strategy, designs incubation support, and connects founders to vital mentor and investor networks. He is also the Founder and CEO of Leeg (2020 – Present), where he led the product from concept to a live tournament-based platform, managing everything from UX and game logic to fundraising. Previously, as the CTO of Yoho Bed (2016 – 2019), Chamara led all technology decisions from go-to-market to scale, building the platform that became Sri Lanka’s largest budget hotel network with over 3,000 properties within just two years.
Chamara is a globally recognized mentor, currently supporting founders through programs like the Founder Institute and Ignyte UAE. His dedication to mentorship earned him the award for "Best Supportive Mentor for South and South East Asia" at the Global Startup Mentor Awards in 2022. Under his leadership, Leeg was recognized as a top 3 startup at the Lankan Angel Network (Cohort 4) and ranked among the top 20 startups at Stanford Business School’s Seed Spark (Cohort 7). He also holds the distinction of being the Lead Organiser of the first-ever Startup Weekend in the Isle of Man and Crown Dependancies.

His background as a CTO and CEO allows him to bridge the gap between complex engineering and business viability. Beyond his formal roles, his influence on the global startup scene is solidified through his active mentorship roles, where he helps founders validate ideas, secure pilots, and navigate the journey from MVP to secured funding.
