Nelaka’s career is marked by his ability to master complex platform ecosystems. As the former Head of Client Development for 3P Media at Roar Global (2025–2026), he acted as the Official Media Sales Representative for Google in Sri Lanka, Laos, and Brunei. In this role, he provided hands-on strategic support for key accounts, including iconic brands like SriLankan Airlines, focusing on the synergy between brand building and performance marketing. Previously, at Roar AdX (2023–2024), he built the LinkedIn Ads Consultancy unit from scratch. Over a 20-month tenure as both Manager and Head of Client Partnerships, he consulted for and trained over 50 clients, bridging the gap between B2B brand narrative and technical execution.

Nelaka’s impact is defined by his ability to turn market challenges into scalable commercial success. During his tenure at MyFees.lk, he engineered a massive 22× growth in transaction value, demonstrating a rare ability to pivot fintech products through precise, data-backed marketing interventions. Beyond direct performance, his leadership at Roar Global was instrumental in building the LinkedIn Ads Consultancy unit—a division he established from scratch. This achievement required more than just platform expertise; it involved designing the entire training and consultancy framework that delivered measurable business impact for over 50 regional brands and agencies. From his early contributions to internal communications at Unilever Sri Lanka to his current leadership at Aventude, Nelaka has consistently transformed technical platforms into high-performance business assets.

Nelaka is a professionally trained marketer with a Certificate in Professional Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM, UK). His foundational training is continuously supplemented by deep, hands-on immersion within the Google and LinkedIn advertising ecosystems. This blend of traditional marketing theory and modern platform mastery allows him to deconstruct complex digital landscapes and turn them into actionable, results-oriented strategies for his clients and students alike.

Digital marketing is such a vast and constantly evolving landscape that there is always something new to explore. Beyond the technical terms, I enjoy thinking about how to break down concepts and present them in a way that is simple, relatable, and easy to understand. I also value the learning that comes from my students. While assessments and assignments have correct answers, in many real-world scenarios there is room for different perspectives and approaches. Hearing these ideas challenges me to think differently and keeps my own understanding fresh.

Being a trainer for me is about this exchange, sharing knowledge, sparking curiosity, and creating a space where learners feel confident to explore, experiment, and apply what they learn. It is a role that allows me to grow while helping others grow, and that is what I love most.
