An Al development professional with over 8 years of experience, Shanaka is one of the earliest adopters of Generative Al technology in business applications, having started his GenAl journey in 2020. He is one of the most experienced Al implementation specialists in Sri Lanka, and has spearheaded Al transformation strategies for manufacturing, enterprise, and startup environments.

Shanaka served as the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Tech Blender Labs, where he led the development of an award-winning Al Vision Coconut Counting System that received the NBQSA Award in 2021. Hе co-founded ZANOCH, developing innovative VR and traceability software solutions, and currently serves as the Founder and CEO of Sustainawav, an Al Agents company specializing in business automation solutions.

Shanaka has designed and implemented LLM applications, Al agents, and workflow automation systems that have transformed business operations across multiple industries. His expertise spans from industrial automation to generative Al, making him uniquely positioned to bridge technical innovation with practical business implementation.

Shanaka obtained his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronic Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University in the UK, and earned his Master of Science/Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Automation from the University of Moratuwa.
